Default How to drain water in Cabin A/C drip pan

2008 2900SE - My air conditioner is under a seat in the cabin and there is a drain Tray for the water that condensates from the air conditioner. It’s only about a inch deep and in theory it could evaporate but never does. There’s a drain hole but the plug has never been removed so it doesn’t drain anywhere.

If I leave the air conditioner running long enough, it will overflow. Ideas or solutions?

Does anyone know where the drain should be routed or drained to. It’s in my cabin under one of the seats Not sure where I could install a drain line too. Thanks.

There are two solutions.

1) Run a drain hose into the bilge and allow the bilge pump to periodically take care of it. I know this sounds odd, but it is very, very common.

2) Run the drain hose to a sump box. this is easier if you have a sump box. Installing a sump box would require installing a through-hull discharge. and running a 12v circuit to the pump.
