Here's what I have on my 1990 2755SCR - Welcome to StandardHorizon.com

Fits under the windshield and no antenna needed since it has a clear view of the sky. I'll try to attach a picture of the location.

Welcome aboard

First take a safe boating class and maybe a hands on training like first captains.

If you know nothing about boats have it surveyed, the cost can save you a lot or at least give you its condition before committing the big bucks.

Hi Jim
Thanks for the quick reply.
I went through a lots of marine gps systems for the past 3-4 hrs as I am not working today
I liked the 9''inch Hummingbird Si. I think it is a little expensive. Will explore more.

You're welcome sir! You get what you pay for with that sort of stuff. I speak from many years of sailing on Lake Ontario.

BTW - as mentioned by Mike in his post, you'd be very wise to contact the power squadron for some basic training, along with the surveyor info.

Thanks Mike.
I will have a sea trial on Sunday in Lake Temiskaming.
Two of my friends will take turns to teach me the basics, functionality and maneuvering of the boat starting from Sunday.
Also I did a lot of reading in the past 1 week.
I discussed with the mechanic today and he has recommended some minor issues to be fixed.
Thanks again
Enjoying the forum and the feedback

Give me a shout if there are any manuals missing on any of your boat items - fridge, h.w.tank, depth/fish sounder etc. etc. Mine came with every manual that originally came with the boat. The original owner also kept every work order for every single thing ever done to the boat - including a $5000 Interprotect epoxy bottom coat application (6 coats applied) which was done before it was launched.
