Question gas spring maxum 2700 scr

Hello everyone,
could someone give me the reference of the gas spring (engine hatch). Mine is missing, and I don't know what to buy (1 or 2 pieces - what length, what strength?).
Thanks for your help.
Sincerely,
Eric

Gas lifts can be purchased at any auto store. Measure the distance between the two mounts for full open and closed positions and you should have no trouble matching one up.

Also see if the numbers on your gas strut are legible. You can search on line for replacement using those numbers.

The strut numbers indicate length and pounds of lifting ability, so probably different sizes for each application.

I have a 2700 SCR. I’ll take a shot of mine for you tomorrow. But she’s a bit older….might not be the same.

I believe your version of the 2700 was manufactured between 1994 to 1999.

This is what is currently on my Engine Hatch. In my year, the hatch is also a seat (not sure what yours looks like). There are two of these mounted to an aluminum bracket on the bottom of the hatch.

These are probably not original, but definitely get the job done.

Matt.

Old tread, but for those who need replacements, i used STABILUS 4B846816 gas struts from rockauto.
8.31$ each, they are perfect for our 2700 SCR.
