yep...it can be used as a cranking batt..but the problem is that it probably won't have the same cold cranking pwr needed to start an engine if it's really cold...so...that might be an issue...it shouldn't have any effect on the elex....
I have 3 deep cycle batt's...don't have a dedicated starting batt...just 3 batt's that are deep cycle..
