Default Anti siphon valve location

Hello all, any one know if my 1993 Maxum 1800 xr has an anti siphon valve? If so, do you know where it's located? Thanks in advance

Not sure if it has one but if it does it is built into the gas hose barb on the fuel tank. Remove gas line from tank that goes to the engine. unscrew barb and look into the threaded end for a check ball. If there is a ball it is a anti siphon valve no ball no valve.

It wouldn't have come from the factory with one in 1993. The PO might have installed one. It usually depends on whether gas theft is a problem in your area.

shrew I don't understand your comment.

The anti siphon valve is on the supply side of the tank to the engine and is there to prevent gas from being drawn from the engine back into the tank when shut down. Your statement sounds like you think it is on the fill.
