Default Annoying Alarm

Hi all,
Trying to do some maintenance on my 2003 2500 SCR where I need the ignition switch on. The accompanying alarm is so loud and irritating that I cannot think straight especially if I am working near the cockpit.
I would like to muffle this somewhat but cannot find where this rascal resides as the pitch of the alarm overrides all senses.

If this alarm is only for ignition, I would eliminate it. Can anyone tell me where it is?
Thanks.

The alarm is the monitor for low oil, low gear lube and over temp. The reason it comes on with the ignition on but the engine not running is because there is no oil pressure. You could temporarily remove the wire from the oil pressure switch to silence the alarm and reconnect when you have completed the work you are doing but i don't recommend leaving it that way.

No, I would not keep it unconnected. Just want to muffle it a bit so it is still audible but not so piercing.

Some have placed tape over it to muffle the sound. But it's meant to be loud so you can here if if a fault occurs while cruising.

If its just while working, you can disconnect the alarm temporarily. Then, once the work is done, reconnect the alarm again.
