Default Aft vent cover

I have a 1997 Maxum 2400 SCR, the aft cover for the engine compartment is broken. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement? I’ve tried eBay and several searches to no avail. What is the proper name for this cover?

welcome aboard

are you referring to the Louver/Eng Vent on the upper transom? Part number is 56979 but there is little hope in finding one. A friend of mine had his damaged do to a storm and he found a plastic shop that was able to use the old one to reproduce a replacement.

Yes that is it and would explain why I can’t find it anywhere. Thank you for your help. Looks like I’ll be looking for a plastics shop in the area.

The Maxum line of boats was shut down in 2009, plases like Great Lakes Skipper bought up stock of parts but 10 years latter these supplies are gone let alone your boat is 22 years old. BTY I have the same boat and year.

The plastic replacements may be gone, but there are tons of stainless steel replacements on the market. You can paint them white or leave as is. You can find them on ebay or amazon.

This is a very specific part design so finding a SS that fits will be a challenge. It has a rolled over lip at the top.
