Has anyone replaced their hose? I got most of it out but it goes into a square slot....then I try pulling the hose and it doesn't budge? Is there anything holding it from the head wall? I also pulled out the wall in the lower cabin and that wasn't no help....I will post pictures
I've replaced sanitation hose on two boats. It is neither fun, nor easy. My tactic is to completely flush the hose with fresh water. Then vaccuum out as much as I can with a 'disposable' wet/dry vac. Then plug each end tightly with rags. Then tape the heck out of each end with shrinkwrap tape.
It doesn't typically pass through more than two bulkheads. Find the middle and pull each end into that central spot. The hose frequently has hose ties. If it's under what looks like a carpet conduit, that is going to need to be cut open.
I can't flush out cause the hose is clogged I believe about half way thru it......
I have no access to the center of the hose cause looking at my pictures it goes into a square sealed compartment.......
I cut off 3 plastic zip ties holding hose in engine compartment......idk if there is more since again I have no visual of the hose from engine room to the head
1) That is marine hose used for raw water cooling (HVAC, Engine, Generator). That makes horrible sanitation hose.
2) The hose fitting looks like it's at the bottom of the tank. This would mean it is connected to either the pump-out deck plate, or a macerator discharge.
That might help fiigure out where the other end of the hose is.
