Default ZF Hurth Model HSW 800 A2 - 2.0 Help me learn.

Finally found the tag on one of my transmissions (gear boxes). A Google search didn't turn up more than a simple chart showing gear ratio, power and torque specs. I'd like to get a better feel for the maintenance routine for them. A oprrator/maintenance/repair manual would be nice.

Thanks in advance.

Find whether that model uses transmission fluid or oil. (My ZF transmission uses 30wt Diesel oil). Verify the specs and use that for regular lube changes. I change my transmission fluid when I change my engine oil.

It looks like the HSW 800 A2 is the same as the ZF80A.

The ZF80A takes straight ATF from what I can tell.
