Welcome to the zoo...first off....the vent problem is common with most boats...my 340 does the same thing....shoots gas about 3ft off the tank inlet....the vent is clear and you can hear it when the gas starts hitting the vent tube...so...if the vent needs to be cleared...you need to pull the vent hose off the hull vent itself from the inside...so..you need to then run a rod thru the vent ..blow into the tube to see if it vents into the tank....the other thing to watch for is the angle of the boat while filling the tank.....if the bow is up or elevated ...gas will flow to the back of the tank and cause backwash thru the tank inlet....
you need to listen to the tank and vent to hear when the gas is starting to gurgle..then slow the rate of fill down.....
make sure the vent tube is not kinked or pinched.....it's a really simple system and not alot to go bad...only critters building nests into the vent...
