Toggle switch and round fuse holders
I hope this is the right place to post this, forgive me if it belongs in a different section.
Toggle switch advice
I am looking for advice. I need new Marine Toggle switches and round fuse holders for my dashboard for a 1984 Sea Ray 5.6 Seville Cuddy boat I am restoring. (I cannot find the correct wiring harness for this boat or a owners manual showing this.)
I am looking for about 10 switches and fuse holders. and I am very confused looking on Amazon. The writing on my toggle switch says:
10 amps-250vac
15 amps-125 vac
¾ hp125-250 vac
Und lab inc. list
Made in Mexico
Séance I am a novice at restoring boats I am counting on your experience.
What does all these numbers mean?
Also the round fuse holders on Amazon do not have good reviews.
And do you know where I might find a MARINE toggle switch’s and fuse holders for my restoration project that will not break the bank?
Thank you for your advice
Steve

Steve- VAC = Volts AC. While these may work you need 12DC switches. If you provide links to what you are looking at that would be helpful. Instead of using fuses you could buy circuit breakers that should fit the existing holes. Can you post a picture of the helm? I’ll provide a helm wiring diagram tomorrow.

You're looking for 12VDC
V= Volts
AC = Alternating Current (Shorepower or Generator)
DC = Direct Current (Battery)
The majority of your boat is 12volt DC. The exception is the Outlets, Heat, Air-Conditioning and the Battery Charger (input). The fridge should be dual-voltage and work of AC or DC power.

1984 Sea Ray 5.6 Seville Cuddy
Engine: Mercury 5.7 Ltr. 150ELPO V0260 4 barrow carb
Engine number above starter: 0756889
GM 57LG5G1
Boat Number: SER92T760684-187101480-84
Bell House Number: 14093638 (38)
Alpha 1 Gen1
I hope I attached my pictures OK I am new at this.
This is all of the info I have about the boat restoration project.
Attached is a copy of the photo. I do plan on making a new backing for the switches when I learn what kind of switches and fuse holders that will work best. It is very understandable why I need a diagram. The button markers on front panel is scratched and very hard to read,
From Left to right:
First whole is for ignition switch the small red wire was unhooked when I removed panel.
Switch numb. #1 from harness has solid green wire connected to switch that is not connected to anything in harnes, then orange wire to fuse. Font of panel marked as (BLOWER)
Switch numb. #2 from harness has 2 solid grey wires to switch with small white tape marked #5 then 2 orange wires to fuse. Front of panel marked as (NAV. LIGHTS)
Switch numb. #3 from harness has brown wire marked with small white tape marked number #5 then orange to fuse Front panel marked as (BUGE PUMP P***
Switch number #4 from harness has orange wire and orange to fuse. Front of panel markings (***WIPER***)
Switch numb. #5 from harness has blue wire marked with small tape with a “T” on it then orange to fuse. Front panel marked as (COCKPIT LIGHTS)
Switch numb #6 from harness was not connected it might be the orange and blue stripe wire connected to nothing. Then orange to fuse. Front panel markings ***CE****.
Switch numb #7 from harness was to looks like a small relay then orange to fuse marked on front panel as (HORN)
Lastly was a cigarette lighter Connected to nothing,
Any help is truly appreciated.

Ok so this is all the accessories and not main systems. I only have the Mercruiser helm wiring diagram for the main systems such as ignition switch, gauges, ... this will be a case of tracing wires but the switches and fuse holders can be found at West Marine or other marine suppliers. You can get part numbers from these places then see if you can get them cheaper on Amazon. I’m leaving for Key West and won’t be online much for the next 7 days. I’ll see where you are when I get back.

Good luck I hope you have a nice trip. And thanks for the link for the fuse holders.
Does anyone else know where I may obtain a boat owners manual that would show the wiring diagram for the panel switch as shown in my picture? I have on the first switch (not shown) a green wire that is going to nothing in my harness and the orange and blue stripe wire not attached in Photograph?
Also I have other wiring issues do you know where I can find a wiring harness diagram for the entire boat. All the ones I have seen do not match my boat?
My boat specs are listed above in this same listing.
Thank You for your information.

Thanks Steve. I’m sitting in Key West enjoying a beer right now. I’m sure I can help once I’m back if you can wait. Ignition switch will gave a 15 amp fuse in its holder going to the B terminal of the switch. The Purple wire house to the I terminal, this feeds the ignition module and helm gauges. Then the S terminal is yellow/red is I recall and goes to the neutral safety switch and then the slave solenoid. The others are standard color but to much to type on my phone. I can see a harness in your picture that feeds all the fuse holders and then the other wire from the fuse holder Provo power to the switches.

Hi Steve I'm back from Key West and have a question on where two wires go to, see photo. The Running/Anchor switch is a DPDT (Double Pole Double Throw) all others are SPST (Single Pole Single Throw). Except the Horn which is a monetary switch.
