Default The difference in Cooling hoses Setup

Hi everyone,

Please have a look at the following pictures. One is my engine and the other one is a picture of another Maxum. How come the hoses setup different? Is there a wrong or correct way?

If you go to Mercruiserparts.com and enter your engine serial number you’ll be able to look up all the engine parts including hose to see how their routed. However I believe the second picture is correct. It provides full time cooling to the rises while manifolds don’t get water until the thermostat opens this allows the engine to warm up faster.
