Default temperature sensor

how can I find out what sensor I need?

I have a 2005 1800 MX
mercruiser 3.0

First what sendor are you refering to, the one for the helm gauge or the temp switch for the alarm?

Does it have a stud for the sense wire or a connector?

Typically they come with a patch sealant applied to the threads.
