Default temp gauge

cruising at 3800rpm..engine temp at 175..suddenly needle drops to 0 and back to 175 back and forth several times...switched engine off and on again and this didnt happen again...faulty connections in the sender unit?? replace gauge?

Default Re: temp gauge

If it drops all the way to zero then immediately back to 175 it's definately a bad connection. Could be at the gauge or at the sender itself.
