Question SCR 2400 Prop Pitch?

Anyone know what prop I need on a 1998 SCR 2400, 5.0 305 CID Merc engine, Alpha Gen 2 out drive?

I run a 14 1/2 X 17 s/s prop on mine. Cruises at 25 mph @ 3400 and tops 35 mph at 4000.

4000 rpm at WOT ?
i think you are slightly over propped.
WOT should be between 4300-4700 rpm

rens I agree with you WOT should be ~4600 rpm, although 14 1/2 x 17 should be about the right prop for the boat. So I guess my question to SRPATTON is is 4000 really WOT and how much weight was onboard?

I have a 1994 2400 SCR V-6 and I found the best prop for me was a 14 1/2 X 18 four blade

Its a little over propped, but planes and runs good with 6 people + gear+beer. I have a personal aversion to running over 4000 RPM. I have a 15X15 backup.
