Default Royal purple 20w50

Hey everyone i got a maxum 2001 2300 sc with a 5.7 (350) with 413 h on it . Long story short i ordered the wrong oil and ended up with some royal purple max cycle 20w50 . i bought a case ( 6 qt ) . Can i use it for my oil change or should i buy something else . Thanks . BTW i just bought the boat couple month ago and never asked the previous owner of what he was using . Thnaks for the input .

Mercruiser recommends 25W40. What does you car use?

For one season you could get away with it without any issues.

Thats ATV and Motorcycle oil.
Boat engines and atv's are not the same engine by design. They rev differently and run under different loads.
I would not use it in your boat.
Try and sell it and buy the correct oil.
I would use what Mercruiser recommends or any good grade of oil you use in your car

A lil late on the reply sorry . Its says on the back that its good for personnel water craft and marine use .
