Default Rotor removal

We've had another very mild weekend in the east of England , which is more than those of you on the Eastern Seaboard can say. I hope you're all safe over there.

I took advantage of the nice weather to replace plugs, HT leads and distributor cap but I could not remove the rotor.

Does anyone have any tips on rotor removal?

A little heat with a heat gun and some prying. Merc uses and recommend loctite when the rotor is installed to prevent it from lifting in heavy seas. They have seen this happen.
