Default Replacing Trim Pump/Solenoid bracket

Hello everyone,
Probably a simple / easy question, the bracket that holds the pump and solenoids for the trim of the outdrive is heavily rusted and breaking away at the bottom front. I'm going to replace this with a new bracket and just wondering if its just a case of disconnecting everything except the fluid lines and replacing them back onto the bracket. Its an Alpha 1 Gen 2 if it makes a difference.

Is there anything I should be aware of when undertaking this? Last thing I would want is it to fail because I didn't do something or disconnect something I shouldn't have :-)

Thanks!

Depending on how well you have access to the pump. Frankly when I did mine I disconnected the two hydraulic lines, harness connector and negative wire to remove the entire assembly as it’s much easier to swap stuff over on a bench. While at it I would install two new solenoids as preventative maintenance. You can get the bracket in the same painted steel or stainless steel as an aftermarket. The pump has valves so the fluid won’t come out.but the lines need to be tied up to keep them from draining.

Thanks Mike.

Is there anything that needs to be done if you disconnect the hydraulic lines? Do I need to have the drive all the way down... Do I need to bleed and redo anything if air gets in the lines?

Have the drive down when you do this. The system will self bleed after a few up and down cycles.
