That’s not what I’m saying. The OP was discussing replace one component of his Mercruiser ignition system not replace the entire system. Yes the distributor kit you identified will fit his engines as the base engine is a GM just like yours, they just maranized by different manufacturers. One thing that needs to be verified is if the boat is equipped with Alpha drives the ignition system will work with the Mercruiser shift interrupt switch.
