Default oil leak need lower unit advice

Boat Lower Unit
1988 Johnson GT 150 VRO6
Model: J150STLCEM

Did I do this? This is what I did in a nut shell, I watched a U-Tube video on putting oil in my lower unit. Remove top plunge, fill from bottom until, oil comes out of top opening. DONE.
Started my 1988 Johnson GT 150 VRO v6 and all was good. Several days later I started the engine to go fishing with my grandson and when I shut the motor off I seen oil that was leaking from around the propeller and around the top of the bottom unit. (See attached pictures). My question is this: Did I do something wrong?
I am 68 years old and have worked on many cars all my life ( I restore old hot rods) but boat motors is new to me, and I have never been in a lower unit. Can any one offer any advice on what I have to do to fix this?
Any special tools, advice, drawings, videos, parts, what part I need to replace, place to buy parts etc. Any and all advice is welcome. I am a boat novice and I am very hungry for advice. I know nothing but, I have gotten great advice from the users of this forum in the past.
Please help me
Mr. Steve

You need a lot of special tools, just get a boat mechanic to do it.
