Default oil change

Well, I read the forums and saw a few youtube videos on changing oil in the boat. I went out and bought the hand pump from bass pro. I went to change the oil tonight and the end of the dipstick tube that I was going to shove the hose down has a smaller cap for the dipstick to screw on. My hose was the same size as this and could not get it down. How does everyone else change the oil? should I try to find a smaller hose and convert it to work? 1995 5L engine.

I have always used an electric oil change pump such as this one...
http://www.amazon.com/Jabsco-17850-1.../dp/B001CX0WX4
that I bought several years ago, it is quick, clean and has more than paid for itself, in ease of use, more then 10x over.

Does your dip stick tube have a threaded top? If so there should an adaptor to attach to it then just suck out the oil.

Do not forget to run the engine first to warm up the oil to make it easier the suck out.

One of the easiest ways to pump your oil out is first make sure it is warm but to use a Jabsco hand pump. Have a couple of plastic gallon milk containers ready for the old oil and it's done . The pump itself screws onto the garden hose connection of where the dip stick comes up. You will be surprised just how easy this is.
