Are you looking for a long block or full up complete package? I have used Doug Russell for a long block and was very satisfied.

What I bought was a brand new Vortec long block not remanufactured. Going to a Vortec requires an electric fuel pump and oil pressure switch to power it.

I bought a drive from Michigan Motors. I have friends who've bought complete re-manned engines from them as well. Whomever you by it from, make sure to note in shipping notes that you need truck with a lift gate. Otherwise, they might assume you have a forklift or a dock.

Both Doug Russel and Michigan I’ve had good luck with. If you are shipping it anyway, try Engines4Less in Ocala FL. I just picked up a long 5.0 from them and was very happy with the service and price. Seeing their facility went a long way towards trusting that this repower won’t go south.
