Default Mercruiser Alpha One Line Leak

I have a small leak coming from the trim line

im guess that's what its called.

there are 4, 2 on each side that look like there metal and braided
they goto the trim hydraulics

are these easy to replace? anything special that needs to be done once there changed?

does anyone know a good place to get them?

Thank you

Use a tube wrench to loosen the fittings on the trim hose. It’s like a open wrench but only slightly open to provide a better grip.

The system is self bleeding just need to keep trim pump tank topped off.

No it will not spray out.

You can find them about anyone place, WM, Defender, Amazon, eBay. Sorry don’t know the part number.

If not leaking bad it may be ok to use however if the fluid level gets too low the drive may kick up while under way.

The system is self-bleeding. Don't overfill the reservoir.

Try undoing the mounts on both ends and side the ram out to give access.

Yes, you will need to remove the rams to replace the hydraulic hoses.
Do you know source of leak? Many times leak occurs where the flare end of the hydraulic hose seats into the manifold. There may be corrosion or wear. You may need to replace the manifold also.

there was like a cover on the bottom of the lines with 2 bolts holding it on. (id show a picture if I could get uploads or links to work)

once I took that off I could get to them easy. the rams did have to come off as well to get to the line mounts.

thanks for the help

That cover with 2 bolts is the manifold.

I’m thinking it is an anode that attaches over the distribution manifold on the lower part of the transom assembly. Lower right of this kit.
