Default Mbss

Good afternoon all!
I am planing on move or replacing my mbss from the engine bay to another location. And was wondering if it has to be waterproof?
Has anyone done it on a 2400SCR, what is a good location?
Thanks for any and all info and help!
Don

I had contemplated moving mine to a waterproof box in the cockpit. I was tired of moving the cooler and spinning the table out of the way, to open the hatch to crawl half-way to switch the battery switch.

I would prefer that they stay dry.

If you have no fear of making a hole in the cockpit area you could put a storage cabinet and mount it in there.

That would be to easy!
2400 SCR Maxums don't have storage in the cockpit except for a area umder the aft seating that I store fenders and dock lines in! And it don't hold much!
Thanks
Don

Hi Mike!
Yes that is just like mine!
Note that there is storage under the stern seating that I use for ropes and fenders! Not a lot of room for the MBSS if I do a receded installation!
