Default maxum stalling

I have a 92 Maxum 2700 SCR. Engine is a 454. Take it out and it runs 20 to 30 minutes and dies. Will not restart. I have changed engine coil. Someone suggested fuel pump. Cannot find one. I do not have a manual. would like to find an engine manual. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome aboard

Go to the Documents tab of this site and you will see mercuries manuals.

Another source is boatinfo, Google it for the site.

When it dies you need to check to see if it's from a loss of ignition or fuel to know where to start looking.

Fuel pump is on the starboard front side of the engine.

Check the fuel tank vent line for kinks or blockage. You may be getting fuel starved from the tank not venting.
