Default Maxum 2400SCR alarm

Hello,

I bought a 2000 Maxum 2400SCR in Februray, , and the high-pitched alarm stays on until I'm going 5-6 knots. On our last boat ride, I was in some shallow water, @ the alarm came on. It's the same alarm that comes on when I start the engine.
I assume some sAnd/dirt was picked up, but I have no idea where to look..

any assistance will be appreciated!

Thanks

Welcome aboard

There are 3 sensors that can trigger the alarm.
1. low gear lube
2. low oil pressure
3. hot coolant

My initial though was that the low oil pressure switch may be going bad as higher rpms cured the issue, however if I am following you the problem started after running a ground, correct. If so the cooling system may have silt in it. try disconnecting the tan/blue wire from the sensor on the t-stat housing to see if the alarm stops.

If this works remove the t-stat housing and clean out the silt.

I have had exacly the same problem.
There is a fourth thing that can make the sensor alarm, there is also a sensor in the smal box for oil for the Bravo III, at top of the engine to the right, its transparent. It alarms when you need to fill more oil.
So there is one more sensor thats not for engine temeratur, low motor oil or hot engine.
Sorry for the language im swedish.

What you describe is the gear lube resiviour. There is no low engine oil sensor.
