Looking for 1997 2700 SCR w/7.4L (Carb) Fuel Line Routing Info
I am in the process of replacing all the rubber fuel lines between the fuel tank and carburetor. The P.O. installed a Type A1 line between the fuel pump and the carb, but I don't think it is routed properly and was hoping somebody could post some pics of how the fuel lines are routed on your boat. I am specifically interested in how the supply line from the tank is routed to the fuel filter and how the line from the fuel pump to the carb is routed. Thanks, Chris

cd,
the fuel line from the pump to carb should be rigid (metal), see picture

Chris, I have the same boat down here in Portland. If you still need pics let me know. The boat is in the barn and it wouldn't be that difficult to get you some pics.

IT Lucky - If you could post or email me pics of the routing of the fuel line from the tank to the fuel filter and from the fuel pump to the carb I would really appreciate it.
I will PM you my email address. Thanks, Chris

Agreed. Taking technical discussions offline if contrary to the purpose and nature of a forum. Please keep the content in the forum, unless of course it is personal in nature.

Update: I only need to see a picture of how the fuel line is routed from the fuel tank to the fuel filter, since I installed an OEM hard line between the fuel pump and carb.

cd, someone with the same boat will need to post a picture for you as this is unique to the boat manufacture and not part of merc's system.
