No different then any other size Mercruiser. Did you use the Mercruiser manual for your engine. Oil and filter every 100 hours or annually. Same with gear lube. Clean flame arrestor annually for average use, <100 hours a year. Impeller every 2 years. Bellows, plugs, wires about every 5 years but this can very on usage and if kept in the water or not.

the manual is all over the place. i change the oils and plugs every year.
Impeller every 2 years
i read alot about the Exhaust Risers and manifolds but everyone seems to say something different. do you just inspect them? is that a hard to do?
i trailer the boat but i do run in salt water almost every weekend

With the exhaust I take temperatures a couple time during the season to see if there is an increase in temperature. After 5 years pull the risers and inspect the water jacket for scale build up as well as a thinning of the wall between the water and exhaust jackets. This can only be seen at the riser to manifold interface but this is where leaks typically begin.

I get 5-7 years from OEM manifolds and risers, as I’m 100% in saltwater.
Since you trailer, you’ll add life or avoid premature failure if you flush the engine well after each use. The manifolds will rust/rot from the inside out. I feel I have a bit longer lifespan being in the water full time, as there is little or no airflow (oxygen) into the manifolds as the exhaust is sealed by the water level in the exhaust tubes.

As far as inspection, disassembly is required and the tell tale signs of deterioration will be along the water passages, particularly near the joints.

As much as I hate the expense, I view these as maintenance items and budget for their replacement after 5yrs. Expensive, but a whole lot cheaper than replacing the engine if it were to take on water and hydro lock.

You went through a Mercruiser 3.0 Service Manual?? Or the boat manual??

You need a Service Manual. For the 3.0, I believe you'd be looking for Service Manual #26 for the Engine. The outdrive has its own service manual.

All the maintenance schedules should be in the manual.
