Default Leaking power trim

Hi
I have a sc2300, it has developed a serious leak on the trim/tilt it empties the reservoir lifting the leg from down to up. The leak is from the main line but it at the back of the engine. I’m fearful that I would need to pull the engine out in order to replace. Is their any way around this?

I doubt the engine needs to come out. Is there not room to reach back and unscrew the line? What size engine do you have?

When I had my '97 2300SC with the big block 7.4L it was tight but there was room to get to it if I remember correctly.

There are two lines from the trim pump to the transom assembly. The transom assembly has a manifold where the hose should connect that can be removed externally so you can disconnect them. Under Documents of this site you can find the Mercruiser manual for you drive to see this.
