Default Horns removal 2300sc

Hi
I need to remove the cooling horns on my 2300sc but can’t find any diagrams
I can only see to small bolts to undo can anybody give me further advice

Not sure what you mean by cooling horns. Can you post a picture or provide a better description where their located.

Sorry I mean the u shaped exhaust pipe that is situated on the inside transom, to which pipes are attached that go up to the exhaust manifolds. From my ignorance you can see why I need help lol

That would be the Y pipe (exhaust pipe )

Because I need to replace a split power hydraulic pipe that lifts the leg up and down, and you cant get at it to undo as the y pipe is in the way.

Is your engine already removed? If the remove the trim manifold from the outside on the lower transom assembly you can access the trim up and down hoses. You should go to Documents of this site and get the Mercruiser manual for your drive then go to the transom assembly section to get a good idea of the design and how to service.
