Gauge issue

I have a 2002 2300sc maxum . Leg trims up and down but gauge won't show leg position. Bought a new gauge and still nothing

The problem this the sensor, located on outside of boat on starboard side of the gimbal ring. Wire are broken and it needs to be replaced. I would wait until it’s time to replace the bellows and do it all at once since it all needs to come apart.
