Yea, good time to replace all the questionable bits while you have the space to get to them.

I'd kill to have that much space to work around mine!
The old engine looks so clean, Mike, a shame it had to be replaced.

I could have put a crank kit into it but I figured it's 19 years of brackage water use so go all the way. I ordered a partial closed cooling kit as well.

Oh fine, rub it in. But I do feel better now that I see your drive trim reservoir is just a little harder to get to than mine. Not that it matters, I've never had to add any fluid to it.
Great opportunity to tidy up the bilge. When is the engine scheduled to go back in?

Here's what it look like when I bought it in 2008.
New engine should back in next week if I finish cleaning up some issues such as a new hot water heater, ...

Decided to paint the bilge, here is a shot after the first coat.
After painting I installed a new hot water heater.
Installing new thru hulls as well

Lookin good Mike.
Funny how one project snowballs into a much larger project. But therein is the difference between doin it, and doing it right.

That's a Water Heater, not a Hot Water Heater. You don't have to heat hot water

Smarty
Well if the fresh water tank has been full for a few days during the summer then it's a warm water heater.
