engine shut down!!!

Hi guys,

I have a problem on my maxum 2600se with a mercruiser 6.2 mpi bravo 3.
After 20 min of slow (low rpm) cruising my engine shut down, after another 20 min it restarted for a few minutes and shut down again until it would shut down immediately after starting.
I know it sounds like overheating problem but the gauges seems to be o.k.
I replaced the fuel filter a week ago.

Any ideas??

Being that it's an MPI I suspect you can have error codes read from the computer as this type of engine has many parts that could cause your issue such as the IAC.
