Default Engine runs on

Hi - We have purchased a previously owned Maxum 1800SR which we are very pleased with: however one small issue is that the engine has a tendency to 'run on' (dieseling) when the ignition is turned off - Any thoughts on this from the 'collective' - regards, John

Is this the 4.3 L? These are prone to run one. What is the idle speed set to, 650 rpm? Do you let it idle for a minute before shutting down?

It's the 3ltr engine, I'll check the tick-over speed and will let it idle before shutting down, and see if that makes a difference.
