Default Engine Cranking but not Starting

Hi All,
Firstly thank you for letting me join this awesome forum!
I have a 3.0 MerCruiser inboard and can’t seem to get the engine to crank after sitting for 4months.
Battery good as have kept it charged, no corrosion on cables to starter solenoid, starter relay clicking when turning the ignition switch.
When turning the ignition switch, there is a fan type of noise coming from the engine but does not crank.
See video link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dmZ...ew?usp=sharing

Do you think the starter solenoid could be the issue or something else?
Appreciate the advice

The engine is cranking. I wouldn't expect the engine to crank of the solenoid was bad.

1) Put throttle in Neutral

2) Fully pump throttle in neutral 3-4 times

3) Leave in neutral and advance throttle to detensor, then start cranking and slowly advance the throttle until the engine catches.

Doesn’t sounds like you have ignition, did you verify the kill switch is in the run position? Do you have 12V on the + terminal of the ignition coil?

Changed the whole starter motor/solenoid and all good now. Suspect it was rust or starter solenoid. Thanks all, just in time for Aus summer happy days!

thats strange. If the engine was cranking the starter was doing it's job.......Did you mount the starter upside down
