Hi,
I have a similar problem. My boats alarm goes off what seems to be randomly. It mainly happens when planning/high speed. All temp, oil levels, pressure and drive leg oil levels are fine.

Do the alarms themselves become faulty and sound for no reason?
How many alarms should i have? - 1998 4.3 1900sr Is it one for oil, one for temp etc or one alarm for all?

thanks

check the connections at the oil sender unit/reservoir/engine temp sender...sounds like one is loose or corroded...
