I just did a walk around of my trailer and boat and gave my prop a spin and I heard some clicking sounds when I spin the prop forwards and backwards. More pronounced in forward.
That's the dog clutch teeth chattering. Is the drive raised? Gravity causes the dog to slide a little forward so the the teeth just start to catch but not engage.
