I'm not getting spark.
I'm going to replace both the ignition coil and ignition sensor.
There is 12V going to the ignition sensor from the ICM. The culprit is likely the sensor because the coil checked good for resistance. But the coil looked oily on the inside so I decided to replace it also.
The HEI plug tester really made this easy. It's OTC 6589 Electronic Ignition Spark Tester. It will test the plug wires and coil lead.
Is there a technique to removing the distributor rotor? The manual says to push down on the base with two screwdrivers then lift up.

Only had to remove mine once and it broke. It is supposed to be secured with loctite per Mercruiser. Guess they had these move from pounding.
