Default Bravo 2 prop shaft almost CAD $2000!

Maybe it's a Canadian thing, but can a Bravo 2 prop shaft really be CAD 1900+?!? and that's not including tax or the seal kit. I need 2 of them. After a log strike, we took the legs apart and (no, no idea if there was water in the oil, asked/asking) and apparently the current shafts are too scored to go back. Insurance wants me to pay this portion as they claim this was pervious wear and tear.

Shaft numbers are 44-62820

Pleased to hear any comments/advice, good or bad.
(USD to CAD close to 1.22 now)

thanks for the suggestion, with shipping and exchange, maybe save 100 bucks, but have to wait 2-3 weeks. Finally sunny and starting to get warm here so going with the brutal locals.
