Default Aluminum intake ?

Hi, I am rebuilding my 5.7 raw water cooled engine and I have an Edlebrock performer aluminum intake. Since it is raw water cooled and will be kept in a slip all season in the Chester river (Chesapeake Bay) I am concerned about corrosion. My original cast iron intake is in ok shape what are your thoughts. Thanks

Dissimilar metals in contact can promote galvanic corrosion. Aluminum and steel for example, with aluminum typically being the one that will corrode. Look at B3 drives (Alum) with SS props.

welcome to the zoo...
and I 2nd shrews advice....al. in saltwater won't last long...softer metal and corrosion will eat that thing apart unless you have a closed coolant system with antifreeze and a heat exchanger ...
