before you do that..go into your engine bay and see how tight the turn radiius is on the shift cables..it they are too tight...it will be a bear to shift in and out...when we first got our boat the shifters were really tough to shift in and out...both reverse and fwd was a bear....had the shop come out and adjust the shifters ..nothin...he went out and re-routed the cable and man..what a difference...you can just snick them into and out of gear now..plus they stay in place while running..so...do that before the expense of twin shifter levers...
