Default 1997 Maxum 3000 7.4 mercruiser Please help

That’s the adapter for the remote oil filter. It should not be that loose which will cause a leak.

So can remove the upper 2 hoses to tighten it?

Tighten the bolt in the middle. No need to remove hoses unless you need clearance to the center.

If it’s like the OEM adapter that’s on my boat you should remove it and install a new gasket then reinstall it snuggly.

With the OEM there is no center bolt as it just threads on like a oil filter.

Thanks guys I fixed that but a week later more oil.....I found a hole in oil pan....Only way to fix this is to pull out motor???

Only long term fix, yes. How big is the hole? JB Weld May be a temporary fix if not too big of a hole.

Also risking engine damage if leaks gets too bad.
