1996 2700scr repower problems

I recently repowered my '96 2700 from a Mercruiser 7.4 @ 330 hp to a Marine Power 6.0 MPI @ 375hp. The powerplant is running a Bravo 3 outdrive with a B-3 quicksilver prop # 48-823664 A6 22P. The WOT on the new motor is 5200rpm's and with a medium load in dead calm water I'm topped out at 4000 rpm's. In 1 1/2 ft seas on the Chesapeake bay it max's out at 3000 rpm's and causes the engine to fault out and overheat. Can I get a prop for this engine outdrive match ? Thanks for any help

well..that's the exact engine drive combo but I'm running a 20"pitch prop....mine will take it right to 5280 rpm...that's where the rev limiter is....

if your only getting to 4k and cutting out...something is wrong..check timing or the computer....

Are you running the mercruiser 6.2 or the Marine power 6.0,. The reason I ask is that I've been told the low end torque vs top end horsepower of the two are vastly different. Oddly the new engine really runs great when its empty and on flat water, about 26 mph @ 4000 rpm. But when I load the family and gear the stern plows really bad, I have to use the tabs to get it up on plane. In any opposing seas it all goes to heck, the boat sounds like it's working extremely hard but wont build rpm's over 3000 @ maybe 12 mph and the ECM tripps with a fault code of overloading. Ive been told its a prop issue by some and a drive gear ratio by others. Thanks for your reply

I'm running the 6.2ltr mercruiser....it has great bottom end torque but mainly will run right to the rev limiter....at 26mph I'm running about 38k rpm.....at 4k I'm running about 28 mph....4200 rpm....I'm running 30mph....I'd really really look at the props....something's up.....
