Looking to install a electric anchor winch on my 2400sc3
Has anyone done it before and if so did they have any problems with the shallow rope hold.
Also how did they get there cables to it

How much space is in your anchor locker?

A Vertical windlass will have the motor and inside of the anchor locker, so you need more headroom. A Horizontal windlass will have the entire motor above deck, so can use less headroom in the anchor locker. However, it has a much larger profile on deck.

I do not believe these earlier models came prewired. My 97' 2400 SCR did not.

I assume if you root around the anchor locker you should see where the wiring run is located.

Default 1997 maxum windless

I did find the heavy wires that go to the battery and some other wires but I don't see any open 14 ga. wires for the foot switches
