Default VHF Recommendation

I noticed my VHF, an old Uniden that came with the boat, shorting on transmit and changing itself to channel 9 regardless of what channel I set it to. The tuner dial was wonky from the start but this is obviously unacceptable, so as part of spring prep I plan to replace it. Was thinking of a Standard Horizon GX 6000 since it has an integrated AIS receiver, GPS, and will connect to my Simrad display via NMEA 2000. Is there something else I should consider?

I just ordered a Standard Horizon GX1850 which has a NMEA2000 interface to connect to my Simrad. This will allow GPS position from the Simrad to be shared with the radio. I’m not concerned about AIS as I’m seldom around ships and primarily day boat.

I have Standard, Icom and Garmin units on my boats and for the money, I’d go with the Standard Horizon.
