Smile TV/DVD Player Install

So looking through this Sub Forum I read about everything I could find on a TV/DVD player install...

Electrical is in my wheelhouse of abilities in fact my best I am good with Carpentry and the such also.. I am pretty confident in doing the work on a 2400 SCR

-BUT-

I guess the question is "should I"

It is pretty easy for us to simply bring a Laptop on board and watch a 18" screen and even plug an AUX cord into the Stereo and have excellent sound..

What do you guys think, do the work and actually take a small risk of having it stolen and more depressing having inept thieves wreck the interior of the boat ripping it out..

Or simply bringing a Laptop on board to watch movies in the Cabin

Thoughts

Welcome Aboard

Think you really need to answer those questions yourself.

How bad is the theft where the boat is?
How frequently do you watch TV?
Are you ok with watching TV on a laptop or do you really want a bigger screen?
