Speedometer Problems

I have a 1999 1900sr, recently ive noticed that the speedometer just doesnt work or show any signs of working. anyone know what the cause could be?

welcome to the zoo....might wanna tell us where your at ....might be close enough to someone here that can help you out...
but usually junk gets into the pitot tube or hole and needs to be cleaned out....so..look on your drive...just above the lower gear case or bullet looking thing...on the leading edge there is a hole there .....take a 1/4" drill bit and manually turn it into the hole...see if you can get anything like wood or trash....
if not then the next step is to pull the lower part of the drive and clean that out by hand..
