Default replacement stereo question

Hello

I have a 2009 Maxum 2100 SC boat and need a new stereo. I can't find anything that is even close to the size of the original. Any suggestions on a replacement that is currently available that will fit?

I have attached 2 photos.

thanks for any suggestions

I’m stereo shopping as well but for a different boat. You’ll need to compare dimensions but here are a few that might be promising;

Fusion RA670
JL media master
Wetsounds ws-mc 2
Clarion cmm-20

Stereos are typically measured as a 'DIN' slot.

Single DIN:
Height: 2 inches (51mm)
Width: 7 inches (178mm)

Double DIN:
Height: 4 inches (102mm)
Width: 7 inches (178mm)

1.5 DIN (Uncommon):
Height: 3 inches (76mm)
Width: 7 inches (178mm)

What are the dimensions of your rough cutout??

Models of stereos vary by model and year of boat. These are not Maxum parts. The first step is to measure the rough opening and the available depth.

Based on the serial # on the back of the unit, that is a JBL MC19 wired remote. This just the wired control unit. There should be a head unit buried back there somewhere as well.

Overall Size: 6 3/4W x 4"H

Fusion makes some models that are close to that form factor. You should be able to find the data sheets to get the rough cut and then compare with either newer JBL models or see if the Fusion will drop into that hole.

Incidentally, Infinity makes a model in the same form factor.
