Default New Head Unit

I am looking to replace some stereo equipment in my 2001 2100SD. Only problem is that my boat has in dash controls for the stereo. I really do not want to lose the ability to use these controls. Does anyone know if JVC, the factory model that was originally put in, makes a stereo that would be compatible? I want the functions, MP3 and USB, but want to still be able to play it through my in dash controls.
Any idea where to look or who to call? Of if anyone else has made this switch, what kind of head unit did you convert to?
Thanks so much for any help.

Would replacing the stereo with a model that has a remote controller be an option? Do you NEED to use the existing remote controller?

gotot www.crutchfield.com and chat with the rep over the internet and he will give you a model that will accept the remove controls.

most replacement radios have the remote wiring port for cars that have them on the steering wheels.

id still be temped to go wireless, since the price is the same for newer tech feathers like, wifi and blue tooth linked your cell to your boat speaks.....

Just go to the JVC website and look for models that have the same features, then call their tech support and see if the unit you're considering will be a direct swap for the old unit?
