Default New 1900 Maxum..Can someone help me?

Guys
Can someone tell me what is the square looks like some type gauge on the right side of my horn button?

Looks more like a button or light, I have no idea.

Almost looks similar to my depth "gauge" or what ever you call it. (Mines a 2000 2300sc)

Yea that's about the size of the one Maxum factory installed on my boat, but that things is hazed big time.

I'm going on a complete whim but I think they (mine at least) has an in hull transducer because I don't have one on my transom either. I also just purchased mine last month and haven't really gotten into it much as I had to clean and winterize it. (Buffalo ny)

it is the depth sounder... there is an in hull transducer just to starboard of the center under your engine oil pan.... also it will come on when you hit the "depth sounder" switch on the dash... and mine is accurate... it matches my lowrance gps/ff exactly!

Accurate is relative. It measures in whole feet. 4'0" and 4'11" both read as "4". Yes, they are both in the 4 ft range, so they are not incorrect. Accurate, however, is somewhat debatable.
